• Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced Germany will begin forming its first drone regiment in 2027, assigned to the 10th Panzer Division.
  • The regiment will combine reconnaissance, deep strike up to 500km, unmanned ground vehicles, electronic warfare and counter-drone units, growing to 600 troops.
  • Basing and long-range platform contracts are not yet settled, while full operational capability is targeted for 2029.
